Job description: shop manager

32-40 hours per week

 

 

As a shop manager at Fornet you have 1 important task: creating happy customers. You are in charge of all tasks on the customer side of the shop and you support the production team in the remaining time of the day. You work together with the team of laundry experts & craftsmen behind the sewing machines. The goal is to make customers leave the shop with a smile and ensure we remain our 4.9 stars rating on Google or even get it one percentile point higher.

• Coordinate; ensure the processes all run smoothly so we can meet the deadlines as agreed upon with our high-end customers.
• Grow; learn everything  there is to know in the Fornet operation and grow into management roles as our corporate startup grows.
• Flexibility; you can easily switch shifts with team members to fit your schedule.

Gross wase: 13,30 euro per hour + variable bonuses based on individual and team performances.

 

 

What are you going to do?

• Make customers happy with clean laundry and a personal service. From suits to socks, sneakers to bags. Get to know customers in a first-name base and ensure they can enjoy life while we take care of their wardrobe.
• Receive customers and give them a warm welcome feeling. Register their orders in the software and do a quick quality check at drop-off.
• Problem solving & quality control; every day we run into issues which you need to perceive as challenges to tackle together with the team. To create happy customers your focus is on meeting deadlines for orders and ensuring the quality is right. You follow the daily production board and you make sure the quality of every garment that leaves the shop is checked.
• Ensure the shop looks impeccable at all times. We are in the cleaning business so customers should see clean floors & glass counters as well as a tidy operation.
• Step by step improve the processes in the shop. We are still improving the blueprint model of a Fornet shop for the European market so together with the team you improve the SOP’s (standard operating procedures).

 

What do you get in return?

• You receive a gross wage of 13,30 euro per hour / 2.305 euro per month (based on 40 hours). Every year the salary increases.
• Flexible roster; you can easily change shifts in consultation with other team members.
• Vacation allowance; you receive 8.33% vacation allowance over the gross wage earned every year.
• End-of-year bonus; you receive 5.33% bonus over the gross wages earned every year. 
• Both flex and fixed contracts for 12 months are possible.
• 25 vacation days with a full time contract.

What are we looking for? 

• You possess a healthy dose of enthusiasm & motivation to make our customers happy.
• Problem solver; you see problems as challenges to tackle and you proactively come up with solutions.
• Hands on mentality; you are not afraid to get your hands dirty.
• You can speak and write proper English. Dutch would be nice but not a hard requirement.
• MBO-4 level on education.
• No knowledge or experience with cleaning is required. We will offer a training program according to Fornet standards. It can be helpful if you have some experience with laundry @home.
• You have to be able to travel to the Zuidas in Amsterdam (Claude Debussylaan 5a) and be available for 5 hour shifts. These are Monday-Friday 8 am to 1 pm and 1 pm to 6 pm. Ideally you use public transport or a bike to reach us. Parking at the Zuidas is not easy and very expensive.
